Job Summary
The position holder will be
responsible for managing the procurement, stores and disposals functions
of the company in accordance with the provisions of company's
Procurement Strategy.
Major Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be full in charge of the Procurement and Stores
department in the company
- Should develop database of vendors for different
material
- Should take minimum of 3 quotes for every
material before finalizing the vendor
- Should check thoroughly payment terms and
conditions before purchasing material
- Constant quality checks to be done for all the
material
- Maintaining the store records of Head Office
also shall keep a record of site store materials
- Should do thorough investigation before adding
any vendor to database
- Precise planning of material delivery to the
site
- Planning for having basic materials in stock at
HO stores
- Motivating the junior staff to perform their
duty efficiently
- Should have decision-making skills
- Should know market condition and availability of
material in the local market
- Should be well aware of import procedures
- Should be a team player to drive the store
department
- Should have control on budget and spending
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management or its equivalent
- Successful
candidate will have at least 5 years in the management of procurement
activities in the construction industry
- Must have demonstrable planning skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local language are crucial
- Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality
- Must be flexible, reliable, able to work under pressure
