Job Summary
On behalf of our client from the logistics industry, we are looking into filling a Business Development Manager position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new client relationships, driving revenue growth, and working cross-functionally with local and regional teams to ensure effective service delivery. The overall objective for the role is pure hunting for new business and develop existing accounts.
Job Responsibilities
- Acquire and grow new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with assigned customers
- Prepare commercial proposals and lead strategic customer engagements to meet revenue and volume targets
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure competitive customer pricing and service execution
- Analyze account performance and implement improvements to maximize customer value
- Schedule and conduct sales calls to new customers and within a targeted industry
- Achieve your sales KPI on a monthly basis
- Manage and maintain relationships of customers you've won in your portfolio
- Provide marketing support and knowledge within the company
- Utilize a pro-active approach of cooperative teamwork in assisting sales professionals and managers throughout company to sell and support accounts
- Continually improve your knowledge of products and services, and follow the changes in industry to develop new products
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales & marketing, or a
related field
- Should
be an active salesperson in the logistics sector for at least 3 years running up to
2024
- Detailed
knowledge of selling Ocean freight (LCL and FCL) and Air freight

- Results
oriented and ambitious for future leadership roles
- Proven
track record of success in business development, preferably in the
logistics or transportation industry
- Strong
understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and
transportation services
- Excellent
communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability
to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all
levels
- Results-driven
mindset with a focus on achieving targets and objectives
- Ability
to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness
to travel as required for client meetings and industry events
