Job Summary
On behalf of our esteemed client, we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant particularly from manufacturing/ production sector to manage daily accounting tasks and focus on ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with manufacturing standards
- Support the budgeting process by gathering data and analyzing variances between budgeted and actual manufacturing costs
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently to optimize cash flow and maintain supplier relationships
- Collaborate closely with production teams to gather cost data and support cost accounting functions
- Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for management review
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA Part I/Foundation stage or ACCA Level 2 qualification
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in manufacturing or production environment
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally) and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws. Understanding of Kenyan tax laws is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Tanzanian National based in Dar es Salaam preferably with a passport or a temporary East African Passport
