Job Summary
On behalf of our client from the baking industry, we are seeking a driven, organized, collaborative and well-spoken Head of Sales and Marketing who
is passionate about advancing the baking brand through Wholesale, Retail and
E-commerce sales efforts. The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction so that the company can maintain and expand their clientele.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business routes and opportunities with potential clients within the lake region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs and present the same to the management.
- Present, promote, and sell company products or services to both new and existing clients.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets. Daily targets are 20,000 products per day which will rise up to 200,000 products per day.
- Prepare and deliver product presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate and close sales deals while providing transparent and accurate information to clients.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve collective sales goals and share best practices.
- Monitor market competition and provide market feedback to the sales and marketing teams.
- Keep accurate and organized records of sales activities, leads, and customer interactions.
- Provide timely and responsive customer support to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Participate in sales and product training programs to stay updated on company offerings.
- Attend industry events and exhibitions to network and promote the company's products and services.
- Contribute to the development of sales and marketing materials, including brochures and presentations.
- Stay current with industry knowledge and trends to provide informed product advice.
- Training subordinates to develop requisite skills (Conducting trainings on products selling skills, lead prospecting and closing skills).
- Measure team assessment and performance reviews and All reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually).
- Monthly Sales Planning and forecasting, considering the shelf life.
- Channel Management.
- Cost Management.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or any related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the food industry, bakery/bread or FMCG experience preferred
- Superior leadership and sales and marketing skills
- A passion for baking products.
- Extremely organized with impeccable attention to detail
- A desire and ability to implement change and systems to improve performance and
efficiencies through the business
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Flexibility and sense of humor – ability to establish order and systems in a rapidly changing
environment
- Must be a self-starter and effective at time-management
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including World, Excel, PowerPoint required
- Ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural
and ethnic backgrounds
- Ability to travel within lake zone
- Ability to read, write and speak in
English and Swahili is required.
