Job Responsibilities
Lead and execute statutory audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
Conduct risk assessment and audit planning to identify key areas of risk and develop appropriate audit procedures.
Review and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and internal controls.
Perform audit procedures, document findings in working papers, and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Identify audit issues, provide recommendations for improvement, and follow up on findings.
Assist in the development and implementation of audit programs, procedures, and tools.
Stay updated with changes in auditing standards, regulations, and industry trends.
Requirements
Qualified CPA/ACCA with 3+ years of relevant statutory audit experience
Ability to independently handle mid-sized client audits and collaborate effectively in a team for large clients.
Should have sound knowledge of statutory audits, preferably gained in a reputed audit firm.
Moderate knowledge of taxation laws of Tanzania
such as rates of PAYE, SDL, WCF, NSSF, different withholding taxes, corporate
tax, how is corporate tax computation done, VAT, what is VAT on foreign
services etc, what is Input VAT apportionment, etc.
Conversant with ISAs/IASs and IFRSs to ensure compliance with international standards.
Adequate knowledge of Audit Programs, Planning, Execution, and Conclusions.
Strong control over IT applications, and familiarity with audit software such as Caseware will be considered as an added advantage.
Fluent in Kiswahili and English speaking is essential.
