Job Purpose
On behalf of our esteemed client, we are urgently looking for Sales Agronomist who is experienced in selling seeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for the registrations, marketing, promotions and sales of the vegetable and grain seeds in Tanzania.
The working station will be based in Arusha and will be travelling across the country for the seeds business.
Job Responsibilities
- Craft a quarterly area operational sales and marketing plan that helps to meet the company goals within the framework of the marketing strategy. Implement the agreed plan
- Meet performance targets as agreed with Commercial Manager
- Keep up to date on company products and general farming knowledge to provide our clients with first class back up service.
- Promotion and selling of company's products to meet set targets
- Monitor and evaluate market intelligence
- Handle all Seed Co-related activities (sales functions/events, customer service, complaints and training)
- Exploration of new market opportunities
- Planning, planting, general management and monitoring and evaluation of demonstrations and strip trials
- Promote trade sales and make sure traders pay timely
- Stock monitoring and restocking of depots and trade/retail outlets
- Liaise with and promote Seed sales
- Promote and maintain a dominant a company corporate brand through innovative marketing initiatives, including roadside demonstrations and green crop displays, show displays, attending local farming activities, making promotional presentations and general exhibits
- Operate within set budgets
- Writing area reports weekly, monthly or as directed
- Any other duties that may be delegated
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture
- Minimum 5 years as a Sales Agronomist in selling seeds
- Experience in Promotional activities like demos, field days, shows and circus meetings
- Good English and communication skills
