Job Summary
We are urgently looking for the Country Manager to establish and manage Medical Device business in Tanzania. This is a key leadership role with responsibility to drive the growth strategy in the country. The successful candidate will be responsible in developing and implementing strategic goals and objectives that are in alignment with company strategy and regional growth opportunities. Develop and manage the country teams and distributors. Plan, approve, monitor, and meet an annual Sales plan and budget. Promote and support corporate initiatives, plans, policies, by example and through direct action.
Our client is an international medical device and equipment company in the field of teeth production. They are providing 3D teeth printing solutions, equipment and services to dental clinics and hospitals.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across the country. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying sales opportunities, and establishing sales targets for different regions.
- Ensure that the products comply with all relevant regulations and certifications, such as TMDA approvals
- Responsible for forecasting sales volumes, revenue, and expenses. This includes developing annual sales budgets, monitoring performance against targets, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Manage relationships with key accounts, such as hospitals, clinics, and health care institutions. This includes understanding their needs, providing product information and demonstrations, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Define and achieve revenue objectives set by developing the team, disseminating regional budgeted performance goals and implementing value selling philosophy, sales funnels and execute business plan via action plans.
- Implement corrective measures as appropriate, report goal accomplishment and variance analysis on a monthly basis.
- Be accountable for standard margin contributions, improving operation profit and working capital turns.
- Provide vision and guidance to the organization to drive growth.
- Enhance effective communication within operations team and cross functional group to achieve company goals.
- Continually monitor market trends, competitive products/pricing, and be a key participant in identifying and analyzing the products to be sold/channeled to the marketplace.
- Lead and participate in business review meetings and other key strategic business initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any related field
- At least 3 years of working experiences in medical devices industry
- Good networks with clinics, hospitals and health care institutions in Tanzania
- Good English and communication skills
- Hard worker and can travel throughout Tanzania
- Good sales records in the medical devices industry
