Job Objective
We are looking for Branch Sales Managers to manage branch operations in order to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic objectives and targets for the Branch together with the supervisor.
- Develop the branch annual work plans, objectives, targets and budgets and monitor branch performance vis-a vis targets.
- Manage all operational, sales, accounting and administration activities in the Branch.
- Manage Sales & Distribution network.
- Achieve month wise Sales Objectives planned for the Branch.
- Control systems like inventory, outstanding, and costing on Depot functional activities.
- Carry out administrative control services to trade channels and coordination of operations.
- Carry out effective Debtors control including collection.
- Ensure there are adequate stocks in the branch and in field at all times.
- Ensure coverage to retailers, wholesalers and other channels in the Market.
- Ensure distribution and visibility of company products in trade.
- Monitor weekly, fortnightly and monthly reports and development of the area and suggest improvements and solutions.
- Identify and develop new markets.
- Implement promotional sales strategies and campaigns.
- Manage execution of promotional inputs planned every Month.
- Plan, monitor and analyze promotions.
- Track and counter competition activity in the area.
- Analyse latest marketing trends, tracking competitor’s activities and providing valuable inputs for fine tuning sales & marketing strategies.
- Train and motivate the sales force & supervisor.
- Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Controls & Checks
- Discussions with the supervisor takes place on a daily basis on branch operations, issues of completion, trends etc.
- Supervisor also checks branch transactions through the ERP system.
- The following reports are submitted to the Supervisor for review: Daily Sales Report, Rolling Forecast for next three months; Monthly itinerary, Monthly Branch Manger Report
- OOS report and competition report on the market as and when required by management.
- There are formal monthly, quarterly and annual meetings with senior management to present branch progress reports.
- Coverage and distribution, merchandising, route plans & promotional activities are also monitored.
Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities
- Degree in Commerce/ Business or similar or a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in FMCG sales
- Extensive knowledge and ability to
deal with sales inefficiencies, question and set direction of a large team.
- Extensive Sales knowledge and skills
