Summary
We are a foreign-invested tourism and hospitality corporation looking forward to expanding our business in Tanzania. Our newly founded safari resort is located at the scenic spot nearby Mara River in Serengeti, containing 20 rooms and 20 tents. The construction is expected to be completed by July, and we are opening for business no later than August. As the foremost concern in our kick-off, we seek an experienced and passionate Hotel Manager who would be responsible for initiating preparation as well as the navigation of future business. We are willing to offer generous payment to those outstanding candidates that we can trust in the long term.

Responsibility
Serving as the Hotel Manager as in charge of the operation and staff management
Salary
Open for negotiation. Increase with years of serving. Candidates are encouraged to reasonably express their desired salaries
Working Location
On-site hotel in the National Park
Working Hours
Principally be ready for duty at all times, especially during peak season. However, off-days are negotiable on high flexibility if rotations are well-arranged

Expectations
Language
Qualified candidates are expected to be proficient in English in terms of oral and literal communication. And since that we are funded by Chinese investors and are expected to receive a majority of clients from China in the future, any level of Chinese language skill is prioritized
Professional requirements
- Qualified candidates are expected to have more than five years of experience in hotel management. Previous experience in serving international clients, especially Chinese clients, is prioritized
- Familiarity with safari tourism is also a primary concern since we are expected to be operating our own safari program based on the hotel. Candidates who have no experience with safari tourism are expected to prove their capability in managing the business
Personal requirements
- Qualified candidates are expected to be willing to stick to the position in the foreseeable future. Therefore, we prioritize candidates aged 35-45, bringing their spouse or family with them at the working location, and those that are able to prove their credit in long-term serving by previous experience or other means
- Since our cooperation is managed by foreigners on the executive level, candidates are expected to be confident and comfortable in working with colleagues that are unfamiliar with Tanzanian or African culture. They should also be expecting frequent co-working with their colleagues from other countries in different time zones. We prioritize those that are evident in capable of handling these conditions
Short-term requirements
- Candidates are expected to be ready for the position by the first week of June, and they should be able to present themselves at the location whenever necessary
- In the first few months of serving, candidates are expected to be assisting with staffing and other preparation works of the hotel as tasked by the corporation. Candidates that are able to show their passion and capability in fulfilling the duty are favoured.
