Job Summary
As Equipment Mechanic Technician, you will perform service and repairs on material handling equipment and/or construction/mining equipment either in a Workshop or on customer sites to ensure that equipment continues to run according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair equipment, including liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems, lifting systems, etc.
- Rebuild and/or repair all components and systems in industrial material handling and/or construction/mining equipment and other related equipment
- Per company safety guidelines, properly block chock and chain equipment and disassemble equipment as needed to facilitate major component removal and repair
- Perform routine and operational maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run according to the manufacturer’s specifications
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis on all components and systems
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma holder in Electrical/ Mechanical engineering or its equivalent
- 3+ years experience of an outfit servicing and repairing of the Materials Handling Equipment and Construction/ Mining equipment or related industry
- Must be a hands on professional
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred
