Role Overview
We are now seeking a B2B software sales enthusiast who can initiate sales conversations and carry SME and Enterprise customers through a complex sales cycle leading to closure.
Your role will report directly to our Regional Sales Manager for East Africa, and you will collaborate with other experienced regional and country sales managers in West and Southern Africa, as well as our Chief Business Officer, CEO and our growth, product, and operational teams at Kenya HQ, with whom you will have annual visits.
You will be our first hire on the ground in Tanzania, so your ability to take the initiative and deliver continuous results with little direct oversight will be critical to your success. If you are successful, the company will grow, and so will your role and career.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand a portfolio of new enterprise and SME clients in Tanzania
- Design sales visits and presentations to pitch solutions to Enterprise and SME clients
- Negotiate sales, discounts, and long-term contracts with Enterprise And SME clients
- Actively track progress toward goals and document it on the proper tools
- Become fluent in all products and solutions the company offers
- Be a trusted advisor, advising clients on pros/cons of competing products or services
- Gain familiarity with the HRM/Payroll industry, and stay updated on trends and innovative products for our enterprise and SME clients in the Tanzanian market
- Manage customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities for SME and Enterprise clients
Required Qualities & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with SaaS Enterprise and SME Sales
- Experience working in a competitive, diverse fast-paced B2B technology environment
- Strong track record of exceeding revenue targets in B2B environment
- Experience working in a remote capacity
- Good understanding of B2B sales processes (the science of sales)
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and in all environments
- Strong knowledge of SaaS and enterprise solutions market trends
- A client advisor who provides good customer insight
