Job Summary
We are currently
seeking to recruit suitably and competent candidate to fill the Tour Consultant position. The ideal candidate will sell services in terms of Holiday packages (In/outbound),
Safaris, Hotels, Excursions, Visas and Travel Insurance, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Planning and preparing detailed travel itineraries and arranging
- Booking transportation, accommodation services and managing tour budget and other finances
- Promoting and selling travel packages and Instructing travellers of safety procedures, travel essentials, and any other requirements
- Informing travellers of the arrival and departure time and ensuring compliance with the same
- Informing travellers of sightseeing and other tourist attractions
- Address any queries and complaints from the travellers
- Organizing and attending tourism events and exhibitions
- Maintaining and updating a record of all travel-related activities
- Obtaining journey feedback from traveller
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of working experience as a Tour Manager/Consultant, or a similar role in the Travel and Tourism industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and Ability to handle stressful situations
- A team player and ability to work independently
- Ability to work for flexible hours and on weekends and to offer excellent customer service
