Job Summary
On behalf of our esteemed client from manufacturing sector we are looking for a Senior Distribution Manager with experience in FMCG sales and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for a number of FMCG brands with local sales and distribution rights held by the company
- Implement a local sales & distribution plan for all related products within Dar es Salaam city
- Implement effective sales & marketing strategies related to all product ranges
- Build new client relationships offering the companies branded product range and approve terms of business
- Attend local trade shows & exhibitions – working with the Marketing team on new product launches and variety of other market communications initiatives
- Management of sales fleet covering full of Dar es Salaam city
- Optimizing space utilization in warehouse
- Appropriate storing of the products according to the frequency of their movement
- Manage a team of professionals and set their objectives. Furnishing performance appraisals and feedback to the higher managements
- Conducting Perpetual Stock Counts in the warehouse to ensure Zero Discrepancy in the stocks
Requirements
- Bachelor's/ Masters Degree in Marketing, Business or any related field
- A minimum of 10 years experience in FMCG Sales
- Extensive Sales and deep distribution knowledge and skills from a reputable FMCG company
- Clear understanding of FMCG
- Extensive knowledge and ability to deal with sales inefficiencies, question and set direction of a large team
- Has great urban knowledge of Dar es Salaam , and over all Sales coverage
- Someone who will be like a business enabler
