Job Summary
We are looking for a Supermarket Assistant/ Shelf Keeper responsible for stacking fresh goods and other products on the shelves of Supermarket, ensuring display areas present well, and helping customers find items they are looking for.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Going round the aisles taking note of which stock needs replacing
- Removing goods from the shelves which are past their sell-by date
- Stacking the shelves and display areas, including fridges and freezers
- Making sure that stock is rotated, putting goods with the earliest sell-by dates to the front
- Making sure that fridges and freezers are at the correct temperature
- Cleaning the shelves and keeping stock neat and tidy
- Helping customers with any queries, including showing them where items are
- Collecting goods needed from the stockroom using a trolley
- Maintaining shelf order by relocating stock belonging to a different area
- Checking expired products
- Performing any other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Requirements
- Previous experience working in Supermarket or any Retails Industry is a must
- Should be able to speak English
- Able to provide good customer service
- Friendly and helpful
