General Description
The HR & Logistics Officer will be responsible for conducting day to day HR and Logistics management tasks in accordance with the company HR & management policy.
Responsibilities
- Conducting the recruitment process and staff capacity development according to the needs of
the company
- Conducting annual performance reviews and providing regular development
supervision
- Implementing and periodic review of human resource management strategies and
policies
- Maintain all records pertaining to staff, consultants, interns and/or volunteers,
including position descriptions, contracts of employment, leave entitlement records,
performance appraisals, etc
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive payroll system
- Ensure that policies are fully implemented and performance management and other
such staff issues are addressed appropriately in line with the labour law and in a timely
manner
- Maintain the company culture, upholding values and reputation with all
staff and partners
- Identify key issues related to company development, capacity building and
learning processes within company and make recommendations to management to address relevant issues requiring a response
- Actively coordinates logistic works
- Ensure all information and communication technology needs of the team are met by
efficient, effective, and accessible solutions
- Ensure that the logistic support for the company is provided
adequately
- Oversee and ensure that the office environment is properly equipped and well
organised
- Ensure that the filling system is properly maintained, which includes updating the
filing cabinets and achieving old documents
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business Management or Human Resource management
- At least 2 years of HR & Logistics management experience
- Detailed understanding and practice with respect to HR & Administration processes and principles of management
- Good level influencing and negotiation skills
- Good written and spoken English and Swahili language skills
- Good level communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of computer skills (systems and applications), with particular experience in
HRM Systems
- Outgoing personality with good communication and training skills
- Ability to be self-directed, creative, take initiative and anticipate changes that can
affect the company's activities
- Self motivated and trustworthy
