Job Summary
We are looking for Furniture Carpenter/ Fixer to focus on existing pieces that must rebuilt or refinished. The duties can also involve anything from a full repair job to a minor touch up.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair and touch up merchandise that was damaged
- Perform repairs in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to replace parts and assemble furniture as needed
- Enter accurate records of all repairs
- Must complete and understand all company sponsored safety programs
- Maintain and perform at the necessary productively level daily
Requirements
- Successful completion of a Carpentry apprenticeship program is required
- Proven 2+ years experience as Carpenter, Furniture Repair or Refinishing preferred.
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Requires heavy lifting
- Excellent communication skills required
