Job Summary
On behalf of our happy client, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to ensure the reliability of the electrical equipment by leading the
preventative maintenance program and supporting the maintenance
department. This position will put your root cause failure analysis to the
test as you keep the fast pace of steel production running optimally.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead root cause failure analysis as required
- Provide reliability input into maintenance procedures, standards and specifications
- Identify, quantify and implement initiatives that will improve overall equipment reliability and performance
- Conduct regular and formal downtime analysis for critical equipment
- Manage maintenance upgrade projects to improve mill infrastructure systems
- Work with electrical maintenance team, vendors, and suppliers to improve electrical reliability, repair procedures, and drawing accuracy
Major Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
- 2 years proven experience as an Electrical Engineer of heavy industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
- Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards
- Background in PLC's, AC and DC motor and drive controls, basic power distribution and relay board logic required
- Problem solving abilities

- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
