General Overview
On behalf of our happy client, we
are looking for General Manager/Principle Officer within the insurance industry
with a bias in management and marketing.
Main Responsibilities
- Business
and market development
- Risk
assessing
- Inform
the directors about any new insurance business opportunities and the
general trend in the country
- Financial
Planning, Marketing and Administration as well as Reporting
- Statutory
compliance and corporate Social Responsibility
- Overall
general management of the company - reporting to the MD

- Create
the permanent client base for the company by rendering insurance solutions
and providing after sales services with complete client's satisfaction
- Wealth
maximization of the company by achieving the targets given
- Create
a brand name of the company in Tanzania
- Active
participation in survival & growth of the company
- Ensure
timely and adequate response to the customers for their calls
- Generating
revenue through sell of Insurance policies corporate & individuals
- Overall
control of the Sales function
- Organize
meetings and demos with clients in rural areas and in Dar
- Manage
relation with Insurers and TIRA (Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority)
- Regular
client visits and developing PR
- Generating
the Sales enquiry & converting into Sales
- Attending
enquiries
- Preparation
of quotations / proforma Invoices and follow up for materialization of
deals
- Receipt
of orders and signing of policies with the client
- Liaison
with Director for material deals & negotiations
- Collections
follow up after supply of materials and submission of invoice
- Build
relations with the government departments, wealthy individuals &
corporates
- Product
Placement & Pricing
- Principle's
Management pertaining to the line of business
- Ensure
certification from partners is renewed on a yearly basis
- Preparation
of monthly Report and submission to Director by 5th of the month of the
preceding month
- Going
to fields for demonstration and building contacts and opportunities
- Participating
in tenders and making efforts on winning projects
- Preparing
and implementing marketing strategy plan
- Provide
in-house training on products and services
- Handle
any other work as may be allocated by the Director
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree
or Advanced Diploma / Certificate in Insurance & Risk Management
- At
least 8 years relevant experience preferably in Tanzania or other broker
dominant market
- Strong
analytical and communication skills
- Good
moral values and ethical traits
- IT
Skills - Ms Office
