Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform operation test
prior to repairs to verify complaint
- Diagnose cause of any
malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturers specifications including engines,
transmissions and clutches, suspension and steering, fuel and ignition (gas and
diesel), electrical systems, brakes, and HVCA systems
- Perform final
operational test on all vehicles to quality- check all repairs
- Perform diagnostic test
for routing maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damaged
parts and systems
- Maintains,
diagnoses and repairs a variety of equipment including; diesel engines
transmissions, high pressure pumps, centrifugal pumps, air compressor systems,
mobile/ overhead cranes, well head attachments and pressure equipment gear
boxes
- Responsible for
ensuring the duties of their position are performed in a safe, efficient and
effective manner
- Performs preventive/
predictive maintenance procedures on company equipment
- Performs basic
troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Installs and/or replace
new or reconditioned repair parts
- Tests trucks for proper
operation
- Ensures total customer
service
- Requires both workshop
and field work
- Performs regulatory
truck testing where required
- Prepare policies and
procedures for preventive maintenance
- Performs other related
duties as assigned
Job Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanics or equivalent Technical Certification
- At least 5 years experience as a Mechanics Technician
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working with diagnostic computers preferably
