Position Overview
On behalf of our esteemed client, we are looking for experienced Transport Officer responsible for managing the execution,
direction, and coordination of all transportation matters within the company. This includes managing budgets, organizing schedules and routes, ensuring that vehicles are safe and meet legal
requirements, and making sure that drivers are aware of their duties.
Job Responsibilities
- To oversee the operation of all vehicles being used in compliance with the requirement of company
- Ensure all drivers/operators are competent to drive company vehicles and have valid driving licenses
- Ensure enter departmental activities are coordinated to achieve the most efficient use of vehicles
- To coordinate and supervise all issue relating to fleet management
- Manage the drivers and their routines, shifts and fuel
- Communicating effectively with clients and responding to their requirements
- Stay up to date with safety regulations
- Report maintenance and repair needs for vehicles
- Schedule daily and weekly routes
- Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders
- Ensure correct maintenance of vehicle register by making regular vehicles inspection and recommending the appropriate maintenance option
- Monitor expenditure on fuel, repair and maintenance to make sure they are in line with approval budgets
- To coordinate official movement of staff to optimize vehicle usage and support the company activities
- To prepare budget of the transport unit at each year
- To undertake any other duties as may be assigned by management
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or any relevant field
- Minimum 5 years proven work experience as a Transport Officer or similar role
- Familiarity with logistics software is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to supervise and train drivers
- Problem solving abilities
