Job Brief
We are looking for an experienced Financial
Accountant to monitor all financial data and prepare accurate
statements for our client's company. Ultimately, the ideal candidate will ensure all our accounting transactions comply with the law and support the company's investments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- VAT Returns + Reconciliation
- Withholding Tax Returns + Reconciliation
- Bank Reconciliation
- Payroll preparation
- PAYE, NSSF Returns, etc
- Corporate tax
- Inventories and reporting thereon
- Proper maintenance of fixed assets register
- Maintain a sound and effective accounting/finance team
- Any duties that may be assigned by management
- Preparation of yearly budget
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
- Preparation of yearly Financial Statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Liaise with External Auditors

Requirements
- BSc. Degree in Accounting, ACCA Level 2, Finance or Alternative qualification acceptable to the National Board of Accountants of Tanzania
- At least 3years proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role in a Textile industry
- Must have knowledge of an Accounting Package, preferably Quick Book
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
- Excellent math skills with an attention to detail
- Time management abilities
- Confidentiality
- Additional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
Reporting
- To Management locally In a timely manner and as per SET FORMAT
- To Overseas Parent company in a timely manner and as per SRT FORMAT
- To advise Management on any issue that may crop up
