Job Summary
Farm Equipment
Sales Manager sells, demonstrates, and specializes in products related to
farming. Products to deal with are heavy machineries, so a thorough knowledge
of the agricultural industry and sales are both essential for success in this
role.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree
in a discipline such as Agribusiness, Agriculture, Marketing or any related
field
- 5 years
experience with Farm equipment selling such as Kubota and Sonalika brands, etc
Major
Responsibilities
- Solicits
orders from customers in person or by phone
- Demonstrates
use of farm equipment or machines
- Recommends
changes in customer use of agricultural equipment to improve production
- Prepares reports
of business transactions
- Informs
customer of estimated delivery schedule, service contracts, warranty, or other
information pertaining to purchased equipment
- Displays or
shows customer agricultural related equipment
- Compiles
lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads
- Prepares
sales contracts for orders obtained
- Consults
with customer regarding installation, set-up, or layout of agricultural
equipment and machines
