Position Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out various activities related to
biomedical equipment maintenance to ensure availability of biomedical
equipment ready and verified for safe use.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for repair and maintenance of medical equipment and particular responsibilities within the specialties of the appointee
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance, inspections and commissioning and test in the accordance with the department procedure/ works instructions and proper documentations of the maintenance records
- Review outcomes of preventing maintenance actions and make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements
- Supervise vendor in installations/ commission of medical equipment
- Perform contract monitoring for medical equipment on contracts
- Making equipment data logging requested spare parts list and documentations related to equipment installations and commissioning
- Provide on the job trainings to junior fresh engineers on medical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Dealing with technical queries from and giving advice on new equipment
- Ensure operational manuals and services manuals are available in the department
- Investigating safety – related incidents for medical equipment
Major Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering
- 5+ years working experience as a Biomedical Engineer
- Ability to work with the diverse groups and commitment to advanced workplace diversity
