Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set the Construction Material sales direction including vision, strategy, competitive environment, short and long term needs
  • Develop and execute the business plan, to achieve agreed revenue, volume and margin targets for designated products
  • Drive rigorous and accurate processes to forecast sales and ensure availability of product to meet market requirements
  • Drive internal matrix organization where required in order to capitalize on valuable market intelligence gathered by the direct sales strategy and relationships with key partners
  • Ensure participation of sales personnel in the formulation and implementation of company strategy and processes
  • Construct detailed customer database and business plans aligning with marketing, production, and logistic capabilities, to meet the revenue and profit plans of the company
  • Translate company priorities into sales priorities, identifying implications of pricing strategies, marketing strategies, etc. on both individual customers and on the overall customer base
  • Maintain and increases revenue through comprehensive sales strategies while managing the entire sales cycle, including, but not limited to, prospecting price increases, bids, and contract renewals
  • Establish personal contact with key customers and regularly monitors the handling of large accounts
  • Analyze slow moving and obsolete inventory and find ways to move it around
  • Transfer a clear and correct image about the market situation on monthly basis to the top management to help them take the right decisions on the right
  • Prepare the annual marketing plan and collect the required market information throw different channels
  • Ensure sales plan implementation- tracks, pushes and motivates sales team and team managers, reports & evaluates the progress together with the sales teams and adjusts the plan
  • Evaluate and analyze individual product line performance, advising on promotion effectiveness, pricing, price movements, competitor activities, quality, distribution channels, etc
  • Analyze and assist in the impact of new product launches, and in the construction of launch plans which include all aspects of the supply chain
  • Ensure sales and marketing teams are carrying out sales process within quality procedures
  • Evaluate employees skill sets to both current and future role requirements and provides retraining or other corrective action as required
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis based on the data provided by his team
  • Monitor the sales and the products stock on a daily basis
  • Conduct periodical field trips to different customers to ensure the implementation of the sales plan, to take market feedback and to evaluate customers satisfactions
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with the sales and marketing department to reflect market feedback and at the same time discuss product business strategies and product knowledge
  • Share in the interviewing process, hiring, and training candidates with a proven track record of sales success to build a highly productive sales team and ensures low turnover rate in the company


  • University Degree in Marketing. MBA holder is preferable
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales management position at Manufacturing or marketing company working in field of construction products
  • High Management skills and ability to lead a team of professional from different nationalities
  • Ability to work under pressure & achieve the targets
  • Pleasant personality and effective interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Energetic, Active, and self motivate
  • Excellent Commend in English and Swahili
