Job Summary
This position is responsible for all shift activities including the
planning and scheduling as well as acting as a liaison with material handling.
Directly responsible for the management of subordinates group/team
leaders who in turn supervise other employee in production. The position
is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these
production units. The holder of this position will carry out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the policies and applicable laws. Must be
able to train, plan, assign and direct work, apprise work performance,
rewarding, discipline employees, addressing complaints and resolving complains.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Staffing production lines
- Training and coaching new production
employees
- Ensure that standard
operating procedures, government regulations, good manufacturing practices and
safety guidelines are followed
- Ensuring production line
efficiencies are maintained and products are made in good quality
- Prepare production reports
and data for management
- Communicating and work to
resolve all production issue on time
- Ensure all production lines
are learned and maintained
- Perform staffing analysis,
and schedule as well as plan for new jobs
- Enforces production rules,
monitors attendance and provide corrective action where necessary
- Conduct performance evaluation for
subordinates
- Recognize and solve problems by
identifying the cause, determining solution and implementing corrective
actions
- Interface effectively with all departments to
ensure that the customers of the company are all attended to meet their needs
- Meet all the production target as set
by the Production Manager
- Build up a production team that
recognizes the need for the team work to archive production targets
- Install professionalism when dealing
with customers’ orders in all member of your team
- Manage and develop production employees
to achieve established goals of safety, environmental performance, production
volume, quality services and cost
- Develop and implement continuous
improvement within the department employees through regular feedback, coaching
and training
- Managing and measuring work by clearly
assigning responsibilities for task, set clear objectives and measures, monitor
processes, progress and results
- Set the vision for the production team
by developing and adhering to a work plan to attain this vision
- Develop and oversees the implementation
of the production policy and operating manuals
- Ensure cost cutting in term of
utilities, utilization, and time management in all production procedures
- Continuously work towards minimizing
time, improving quality and raw material control in all production processes
- Any other duties by assigned by your
superiors
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Degree/ Diploma or VETA equivalent in Sciences, Engineering and other
related field
- 3 - 5 years experience in a leadership position in production,
operations
- Knowledge of KAIZEN principle is a plus
- Prior experience in metal manufacturing is a plus
- Experience in cost reduction, production efficiency improvements
and continuous improvement activities are also desirable
- Excellent Knowledge in
Production and Construction industry
