Job Purpose
We are looking for well experienced, qualified, skilled and knowledgeable Chief Accountant responsible for the company's
financial and fiscal operating results utilizing generally accepted accounting
principles. He/She will also be responsible for development and
implementation of a financial strategic plan that will maximize income, while
minimizing risk in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the company.
Main
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis and
reporting to management as needed
- Perform month-end accounting
activities such as reconciliations and journal entries
- Coordinate with finance team to
complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines
- Generate financial reports and
statements to Managers for review
- Analyze financial discrepancies and
recommend effective resolutions
- Monitor expenditures, analyze
revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management
- Respond to accounting inquiries from
management in a timely fashion
- Provide guidance to other
Accountants and cashiers when needed
- Assist in budget preparation and
expense management activities for assigned accounts
- Assist in auditing activities by
providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations
- Monitor and record financial
transactions according to company policies and regulations
- Review and recommend changes to
existing accounting procedures
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of a first Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Accounting certification e.g. CPA, ACCA or equivalent
- A valid member of accounting professional body
- At least 5 years experience in Senior Accounting position with Leadership experience
- Experience in industrial and construction industry is an added advantage
