Specific Responsibilities
Plans, organizes and controls
all activities of the HR Department
Develops, recommends and
implements personnel policies and procedures; maintains staff and
management handbooks; perform benefits administration, change reporting
etc
Works with
business managers to develop and revise job descriptions for roles
Conducts
recruitment effort for managerial vacancies, places advertisements; works with
recruiting managers to screen and interview candidates
Prepares initial
employment offer letters for a category of management team members and support
staff, coordinates orientation and on boarding of management team members
Sits in
disciplinary meetings for managerial and support roles (and for agents if gross
misconduct)
Schedules and
conducts performance appraisals for support staff (i.e. drafting appraisal
points, scheduling timelines, management briefings, receiving final appraisals,
compiling key notes etc.)
Handles issues
related to workplace accidents and ensures legal compliance
Manages the
framework, relationships and communications for statutory benefits and other employee benefits (health insurance
or health policies)
Coordinates
training and development activities for management and support staff
Identify legal
requirements and government regulations affecting human resources functions and
ensures policies and procedures are in compliance
Advises
management on appropriate resolution of high-level employee related issues
Assesses and
drives action plan towards employee engagement across departments and manages
communication to all staff on steps taken to improve engagement
Prepares employee
separation notices for management/support, and conducts exit interviews to
determine reasons for resignations
Prepares
monthly/weekly budget for human resources operations and ensures adherence, and
signs off all employees’ medical reimbursement payments in accordance with
policy
Monitors KPIs
relevant to HR department such as staff recruitment and termination reports
Rolls out other
head office HR initiatives. Supports and provides assistance with company
projects
Performs other
key HR related duties as and when needed
Education & Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or
any of the Social Sciences
Professional
certification in HR
A minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in
Human Resources
Prior
experience as an HR Generalist with good working knowledge of recruitment,
training, employee engagement and labour relations, compensation standards and
practices, etc
Working
knowledge of national employment laws and practices
Demonstrated
ability to serve as a knowledgeable HR resource to the Country Manager and
management team members
Good
knowledge and skills in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Prior
experience with a multinational organization is a plus
Active affiliation
with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations
