Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create the permanent client base for company by rendering insurance solutions and providing after sales services with total client's satisfaction
  • Wealth maximization of the company by achieving the targets given
  • Create a brand awareness of the company in Tanzania in line with company policy
  • Active participation in survival & growth of the company
  • Ensure timely and adequate response to the customers for their calls
  • Organize meetings and demos with clients in rural areas and in Dar
  • Regular visits to insurer counterpart
  • Tracking and obtaining policies from Insurers on fortnightly basis and dispatching to the insured
  • Preparing letter, sales report, risk notes and corresponding documents for submission on fortnightly basis to insurer
  • Collections of outstanding payment from the Insured
  • Submission of daily sales and daily receipt report to General Manager
  • Submission of daily cash/cheque collection to General Manager
  • Preparation of monthly Report and submission to General Manager by 7th of the following month
  • Preparing and implementing sales and marketing strategy plan
  • Generating revenue through sell of Insurance policies corporate & individuals
  • Building a network and creating leads that will turn into a business opportunity
  • Liaison with General Manager and Director for material deals & negotiations
  • Overall control of the Sales function
  • Attending to all sales enquiries
  • Preparation of quotations / pro-forma Invoices and follow up with prospective and existing clients for materialization of deals
  • Product placement & Pricing
  • Participating in tenders and making efforts on winning projects
  • Handle any other task as may be allocated by the General Manager

Major Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma  in Insurance and Risk Management
  • 3+ work experience as Insurance Underwriter with  at least 1 year of staying in one company
  • At least Certificate of Proficiency (COP)
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
  • MS Office
  • Confident and Smart (Professional)
