Description:
Main Responsibilities
- Lead a group of installation
technicians for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Chilled water piping services in the building facilities
involving installations of equipment such as Fan coil units, Air cooled
chillers, Air handling units, Buffer tank, Chilled water pumps, etc
- Plan, schedule and assign
activities of Chilled water system / HVAC works
- Update/record/mark and
report site changes in the installation works
- Make sketches for HVAC
Chilled water system lay-outs and determine types and quantities of materials
necessary
- Make requisition of
materials required for the work and aid in obtaining materials for the job
- Full hands on experience on
Chilled water piping shop work fabrications, Welding and related job
- Assist skilled workers of
related trades in general Chilled water piping and Equipment Installation works
- Maintain tools and
equipment
- Perform related work as
required
Major Requirements
- Minimum Vocational /Technical
School Graduate.
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in Residential/Commercial
Building Construction
- Technical knowledge on Installation & testing of HVAC Chilled
Water System in a Residential/Commercial building
- 30-45 years old
- Physically, Mentally
fit and able to speak in English and Swahili
Special Skills
Thorough knowledge of
the common practices, tools and terminology of the HVAC trade; thorough
knowledge of the use and characteristics of HVAC piping tools and
equipment; thorough knowledge of hazards
and safety precautions associated with HVAC trade; skills in the use of tools
and equipment; ability to work from sketches, drawings, plans and
specifications; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to
supervise the work of others and ability to establish and maintain effective
working relationship with associates and superiors.
