Description:
Major Responsibilities
- Lead a group of
installation technicians for the Fire Fighting services in the building
facilities involving equipment such as Fire protection pumps, controls, ZCV,
Hydrants, etc
- Hands on Experience in the
installation / Fabrication of Firefighting piping and all its associated
accessories and related works
- Plan, schedule and assign
activities of firefighting system and Equipment works
- Update/record/mark and
report site changes in the installation works
- Make sketches for Firefighting lay-outs and determine types and
quantities of materials necessary
- Make requisition of
materials required for the work and aid in obtaining materials for the job
- Assist skilled workers of
related trades in general Firefighting and Equipment Installation works
- Maintain tools and
equipment
- Perform related work as
required
Major Requirements
- Minimum Vocational /Technical
School Graduate
- 5-10 years same work experience in Residential/Commercial
Building Construction
- Technical knowledge on work
planning and Installation of Fire Fighting System in a Residential/Commercial
building
- Minimum 30-45 years old
- Must be Physically and
Mentally fit, and able to speak Swahili and English
Special Skills
Thorough knowledge of
the common practices, tools and terminology of the Fire Fighting system trade;
thorough knowledge of the use and characteristics of Firefighting piping tools
and equipment; thorough knowledge of
hazards and safety precautions associated with Firefighting trade; skills in
the use of tools and equipment; ability to work from sketches, drawings, plans
and specifications; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to
supervise the work of others and ability to establish and maintain effective
working relationship with associates and superiors
