Position Summary
The Logistics Customer Service Representative will oversee all aspects of accounts relating to the local and international transportation of goods and the maintenance of the client's needs. Work with clients to establish detailed profiles and procedures that properly represent their logistics process.
Major Responsibilities & Duties
Utilize transportation tools to create, monitor and complete logistics
Arrange logistics by examining destination, route, rate and delivery time
Keep customers informed by forwarding notices, logistics date and method, and current status
Track and log information in the system.
Communicate effectively and build a professional relationship with customers to strive to exceed their total service expectations.
Respond to customers to ensure critical success factors are achieved.
Understand and complete all necessary customer specific tasks.
Maintain good Customer relationships.
Resolve customer issues.
Act as a positive role model for team members by providing support and assistance as needed.
Frequent interaction with stakeholders in addressing daily function, service concerns and developing new solutions to improve service
Major Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Management
- At least 4years of experience within local or International Shipping, transportation/logistics company
- Knowledge of Transportation industry preferred
- Must have good Planning or Logistics management skills, Customer Service skills and Interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to make decisions and take appropriate action
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task workload
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide assistance when necessary
- Demonstrate initiative and tolerance for stress
